No assembly needed. Once out of the box I was up and riding in less than 3 min. You’ll welcome the ease of set up, road like feel, progressive resistance, portability and the incredibly well made carrying bag!
I was impressed by the construction as well as the anodized color. The quick release is hardy, closes and opens smoothly, and the ride is extremely quiet. The rollers are 5.5” wide, ample area for a secure ride regardless if you’re spinning along or sprinting out of the saddle. In addition to the easy of use I became aware of some riding technique flaws I couldn’t feel on my other trainer. Why? Because the rear wheel floats, moving in a natural way, unlike my other trainer where the rear wheel is held in position. As for the feel of a full on workout; I was easily able to ramp up my wattage in my Vo2 workouts immediately feeling the progressive resistance come into play.
Thank you all for a wonderful product.

I have traveled around the world to race and there are some places that are NOT conducive to cycling outside leading up to the event. Not only that, but sometimes the weather can be awful (down pouring rain, really really cold, etc.) prior to the race, and you just don’t want to risk riding outdoors. I can think of so many races over the past couple of years where having this would have been SO so helpful. It’s a carry-on; lightweight and easy to bring with me, so I don’t have to worry about mapping out a ride route in an unfamiliar city now. The Omnium will keep me safe and remove much of the travel hassle I experienced over the past couple of seasons. No assembly required–just set it up and hop on for a spin. And in case anyone is wondering, you can do a complete workout on it as it can definitely handle the watts.
